Alisa Cunnington (CTEI Senior Educational Developer, Digital Pedagogies and Innovation) and I are beyond excited to e-introduce to you all Tony Payment, our new CTEI team member joining us as an Educational Technologist on the Digital Pedagogies and Innovation team to combine creative passions and expertises with Alisa and Yirong Wang (CTEI Educational Technologist) on Brightspace training and development for our YU + TFS faculty and instructors.

Here is a little bit about them:

Tony Payment (they/them) is a recent graduate of Brock University’s Game Design MA, whose research focuses on the linking of scholarship to design and development. They have previously served as a training coordinator at MacDon Industries, as well as a teaching assistant at Brock university. With experience in employee training and a passion for teaching and connecting with students and educators, they hope to bring a unique, creative perspective to YU + TFS and the CTEI.

Tony officially started with us yesterday (September 3rd), and they have well-begun the “firehose of information” (as we call it, ha!) for their onboarding and orientation…immediately toward the first of our Brightspace Faculty Training sessions happening this month of September!

Please join Alisa and I in welcoming Tony! They bring a wealth of experiences that will translate well across the whole of YU + TFS, and we can already tell they are an excellent fit.
